500 Global’s Khailee Ng – Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist and Philosopher
Khailee Ng is among Malaysia’s tech successes, having exited two startups with Says.Com and Groupsmore, and funding, through the venture capital firm 500 Global, seven regional unicorns, including Grab, Carousell, Bukalapak and Carsome.
With success having come early to him and plenty of time to consider ‘Life’ at a more tender age than most, he also has reached fascinating conclusions about the world at large, giving this discussion a much wider and colourful range than normal.

Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar - A Humble Malaysian Super-Achiever
Tan Sri Wahid came from humble beginnings to become one of Malaysia’s most successful corporate leaders in the new millennium, successfully leading four major organisations in infrastructure development (UEM), telecommunications (Telekom Malaysia), financial services (Maybank) and investment management (Permodalan Nasional Bhd).
He was also appointed a Senator and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Economic Planning from June 2013 to June 2016, heeding a national call to duty. Today, he is the Chairman of the stock exchange operator Bursa Malaysia as well as Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Throughout his career and through the turbulence and pressures of corporate and political life, Tan Sri Wahid has managed to comport himself in the same calm and humble manner that he has become known for, making him one of the most respected and likeable figures in corporate Malaysia.
Here, he shares his rules and principles for life with Khoo Hsu Chuang.

Dwi Emas’ Anne Tham - From Tuition Teacher to Education Entrepreneur
Anne Tham could have been any one of us. The only difference is that she took the plunge. To try and make a difference.
Otherwise she would have remained a tuition teacher, griping at the system’s many flaws, like so many other Malaysians.
Instead, she is today the head of a number of schools trying to make a difference, fully aware that an education – a proper one – is the key to unlocking a better future.

Kavin Jay – Comedians, Malaysia’s REAL Journalists
Kavin Jay is one of Malaysia’s funniest men, recognised as such by the Netflix special he was invited to record in 2018, titled ‘Everybody Calm Down’.
He is also one of Malaysia’s most original and ‘real’ comedians, driven to his art by a very unique set of circumstances.
Here, he talks to Chuang about his journey to comedy, evolving along the way to become a true storyteller, much akin to a journalist, though often braver – and definitely funnier.

MIT’s Sanjay Sarma: Why Indian CEOs Are Taking Over the World
The Asian Century is well upon us but the rise of her people on the world stage has not been a linear one. Fraught with complexities and clearly divisive, the reasons for this video’s title are nonetheless fascinating – and instructive.
Today’s chat is with Sanjay Sarma, the brilliant and affable CEO of the Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, having arrived from sojourns in the private sector, academia and the literary world.
